Day 1-Arrival in Manali – Acclimatization & Leisure
Arrive in Manali and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Since Spiti Valley sits at an altitude of over 12,500 feet, acclimatization is crucial to avoid altitude sickness (AMS). Spend the day resting and relaxing to prepare your body for the high-altitude journey ahead. You may explore Manali’s charming cafes or simply unwind. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Manali.
Day 2-Manali to Kaza (203 km, Approx. 9 Hours Drive)
Start early from Manali and embark on an adventurous drive to Kaza, crossing iconic mountain passes like Rohtang and Kunzum, along with seasonal streams Bada Darra and Chota Darra formed from melting snow. Arrive in Kaza by evening and unwind with a leisurely stroll through Kaza’s vibrant local market. Explore local handicrafts and savor authentic Spitian cuisine at cozy cafes. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 3-Day 3: Kaza – Langza, Komic & Hikkim Excursion
After breakfast, visit Langza Village, known as Fossil Village, home to the giant Buddha statue and marine fossils. Proceed to Komic, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world, and spend time interacting with locals and visiting the monastery. Continue to Hikkim, famous for hosting the world’s highest post office. Don’t forget to send postcards to your loved ones! Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4-Kaza – Dhankar via Pin Valley, Tabo, Mud & Gue Villages
Start your day visiting Kungri Monastery in the scenic Pin Valley. Next, head to Mud Village, followed by Gue Village, known for the 500-year-old mummy of a monk. End the day exploring Dhankar Monastery, a spectacular cliffside fortress monastery overlooking the confluence of Spiti and Pin rivers. Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5-Kaza to Nako via Tabo and Sumdo
Travel to Nako village, stopping first at Tabo to explore the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its Golden Temple and ancient caves. Continue through Sumdo, the gateway to Kinnaur Valley, and reach Nako, famous for its serene lake and historic monastery. Explore Nako’s thousand-year-old monastery and the scenic Nako Lake. Return to Kaza in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6-Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kibber, Kee Monastery & Chicham Bridge
Embark on a scenic drive to Chandratal Lake, also known as Moon Lake, perched at 4,300 meters altitude and surrounded by majestic mountains. Visit Kee Monastery, the largest monastery in Spiti Valley, and Kibber village, one of the highest motorable villages in the world. Cross the Chicham Khas Bridge, Asia’s highest bridge at over 13,500 feet. Arrive at Chandratal campsite by sunset, enjoy the breathtaking sunset views at CB12 (Chandra Bhagha 12), and spend the night camping under a starlit sky.

Day 7-Chandratal to Manali – Tour Conclusion
After an early breakfast, depart from Chandratal and drive back to Manali. Arrive by afternoon and conclude your unforgettable Spiti Valley adventure.
